Over the next few weeks I hope to post interesting Gift ideas, that are both affordable and easy to create.
I believe as we now have more "things" than we can possibly need, gift buying has got harder!! What we need is to go back to the essence of gift giving - that is - "it is the thought that counts" - and what could be more thoughtful than a Handmade Gift.
Many people are put off the idea of making a gift, because they feel they will appear - cheap or stingy. My experience is that people value something Handmade much more than something bought from a shop.
If you are worried how your gift will be received, just pre-warn people that you are having a "Handmade Christmas" and will be making individual gifts. Trust me, everyone will get the sentiment!!
If you are convinced that you can't "do it yourself" - then there is always the option to buy Handmade Gifts - one way to be sure that what you buy is unique. look out for gifts that can be personalised or customised for that extra touch (I have included some links to popular sites at the end).
If you know what you want but can't make it yourself - then check out sites where you can list a customised request - most of the big sites have this.
